India slams Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s idiotic comments on Indian internal issues
India calls Canadian PM’s comments “ill-informed”. Indian Ministry of External Affairs says, “Such comments are unwarranted, especially when about the internal affairs of a democratic country.”
In response to a media query on comments by Canadian leaders relating to farmers in India the official spokesperson Shri Anurag Srivastava said:
“We have seen some ill-informed comments by Canadian leaders relating to farmers in India. Such comments are unwarranted, especially when about the internal affairs of a democratic country. It is also best that diplomatic conversations are not misrepresented for political purposes.”

Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau commented on politically motivated protest over Farm Bill 2020 passed by the democratically elected government of India in Indian Parliament. What may be seen as ridiculous interference in India’s internal issues? Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau raises the issue of farmer protests in India. Says, “situation is concerning. Canada will always be there to defend the right of peaceful protest”.
“we have reached out through multiple means directly to Indian authorities.”
Indian Ministry of External Affairs added
People familiar with the matter are concerned about illegitimate interference into India’s internal affairs for political points. Earlier Trudeau was blamed for his close ties with terror organisation which acts against India. There should a befitting response from the government of India.
