A Big Mistake! Not to act on China at LAC

A Big Mistake! Not to act on China at LAC

India and China tangled in a never-ending standoff. Both the armies are starting down on each other for several weeks and months at the disputed Line of Actual Control.

The issue started when the Chinese moved in its troops into multiple locations in the disputed territories. Unilaterally changing the status quo with its muscle power.

Unlike before the current Indian government lead by Prime Minister Narendra Modi known for his bold moves and patriotic stand on national security.

What has baffled the most is the way India dragging its feet while confronting the Chinese at LAC. Even the military experts from all around the world predicted a sharp and strong counter by the Indian Forces. To evict the Chinese military by force from this intrusion locations.

India and China engaged in several rounds of talks on this issue after the Galway valley clash which resulted in multiple military casualties on both sides. This could be the first such incidents after indo-china conflicts took place several decades ago.

Experts believe that the reaction from the Indian government was quick but responded with caution. India by far has done a pretty good job in mirror deployments. And was successful in evicting the Chinese troops from many locations.

But still India and its leadership dragging their feet in several other places. These are places where China has managed to show it’s might and strength with a well planned strategy. This could mean that the Chinese were preparing to escalate the tension with India for many years.

India must be so foolish to believe or trust the Chinese for these many years. It’s, in fact, was caught off-guard by China which intruded into the Indian claimed borders.

By not acting boldly, India might encourage the insecure Chinese to further their act of war on India. Indian military leadership is prepared for these actions but the actual question should? Is Indian Political class ready for this escalation? Even when China is the aggressor who invaded the Indian territory.

Questions must be raised how long can India be humble to these invaders. How far this standoff can continue? With talks and more talks the Indian side giving too much time for the Chinese concentrate their deployment.

Standoff and stalemate in talks mean China has achieved its goal and managed to hold on to these captured territories. It doesn’t make any sense why India doesn’t want to retaliate the invaders. The longer the Stand-Off Higher the chances of war!

It’s time to act Modi sir! Talks will happen once the actions take place. Till then China will be happy to keep talking while India lost its territory at the line of actual control.

Not acting could be a huge mistake on the Indian side. This will give other nations to do the same in future. A bad example will hurt India’s image too.
