A reporter working for Geo News has gone missing in Karachi reportedly abducted by the Pakistan Army. Ali Imran Syed, a reporter for Geo News, has been missing from Karachi since yesterday and feared to have been subject to enforced disappearance for his reporting. The authorities must establish his whereabouts immediately people fumes in Pakistan.

A Geo News reporter Ali Imran Syed went missing for at least 18 hours now. As per his wife, he went to a nearby bakery on foot but didn’t come back. Geo News and his family have informed the police but as per media sources, Police are not cooperating.
Murtaza Wahab, spokesman for the Sindh government in Pakistan, said that Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had taken notice of the disappearance of journalist Ali Imran Syed and had spoken to the police chief.
According to the spokesperson, the matter is under investigation and all resources will be utilized for their speedy recovery. The wife of Ali Imran Syed, a reporter for the private television channel Geo News, said in a video message on Friday night that her husband had been missing since evening.
The problem is not whether to say it or not. The point is, if there is a case against a person or a journalist, it should be brought before the courts. Forced abduction and torture are reprehensible and unconstitutional
