Armenia says Azerbaijan preparing the ground for provocation

In a direct attack on Azerbaijan’s leadership, the Press Secretary of the Armenian MOD has blamed Azerbaijani preparing for provocative actions.

The Press Secretary of Armenian defence ministry Shushan Stepanyan blamed Azeri officials for spreading false information.

Shushan Stepanyan said “The MoD of Armenia officially informs that the statements of the leadership of Azerbaijan about an alleged attack from the territory of Armenia against Mingechaur is false. No fire was opened from Armenia. This is the desperate convulsions of the Azerbaijani side”.

“Fighting continues along the Artsakh-Azerbaijani entire line of contact.The most pitched battles are taking place in the north and far south. The adversary is constantly trying to move forward,but as a result of the decisive actions of Defence Army units, they continue to fail”

“The Azerbaijani side, with no single piece of evidence, now declares that the Armed Forces of Armenia have allegedly targeted Khizi and Apsheron. This is another lie that explicitly proves Azerbaijan is preparing ground for provocation” She added.

Just before her statement, the close aide of Azerbaijan President said that 4 rockets have landed in the major city of Azerbaijan. Which started the speculations about a thermal power plant been hit.

Hikmet said “UPDATE: 4 TOCHKA Short Range Theatre Ballastic Missile to Mingachevir industrial city of Azerbaijan launched by Armenia. No serious damage to infrastructure. But civilians wounded. Armenia’s state terror&environmental terror continues. Mingachevir is also big water reservoir.”

The city of Mingachevir has a major thermal power plant from which Azerbaijan gets 35% of electricity from.

As a repl6 to the Armenian press secretary’s comment Hikmet Hajiyev posted the pictures of two rockets. Claiming it as Armenian Rocket attack evidence. Both side blame each other as international community watching these developments keenly.
