At least 28 Afghan soldiers killed and 21 wounded in a car bomb attack

At least 28 Afghan military forces killed and another 21 wounded have been rushed to the provincial hospital, Baz Mohammad Hemmat, head of the hospital, spoke to IFE News Network sources said in Afghanistan.

A military battalion belonging to Civil Order Police in the third district of southern Ghazni province was targeted by a car bomb attack today morning, said Nasir Ahmad Faqiri, head of the provincial council.

The attack was followed by clashes, according to the source. Afghan Ministry of Interior confirmed a suicide bomber detonated car rigged with explosives on way to Deh Yak district of southern Ghazni province. The ministry did not provide details on casualties.

No insurgent group has so far claimed responsibility.
