Breaking: India says it’s missile that landed in Pakistan was due to “technical malfunction”.

India  issued Statement on accidental firing of missile:

On 9 March 2022, in the course of a routine maintenance, a technical malfunction led to the accidental firing of a missile.

The Government of India has taken a serious view and ordered a high-level Court of Enquiry.

It is learnt that the missile landed in an area of Pakistan. While the incident is deeply regrettable, it is also a matter of relief that there has been no loss of life due to the accident.

Pakistan Claims:

Pakistan’s military has said an unidentified surface-to-surface missile from India violated its airspace this week in the eastern province of Punjab but caused no casualties, the latest flare-up between the two often-hostile neighbors.

The military late Thursday protested the violation caused by what it described as an “unarmed supersonic missile” that landed in the area of Mian Channu in Khanewal district in the eastern Punjab province on Wednesday. It damaged some residential property.
