Details on Indian Air Force Air Show on Republic Day 2021

The Republic Day parade is the largest and most important of the parades marking the Republic Day celebrations in India. The parade takes place every year on 26 January at Rajpath, New Delhi. It is the main attraction of India’s Republic Day celebrations, which last for 3 days. Each year Indian Airforce Jets presents a stunning air display. We have gathered exclusive information on air display schedule for the Republic Day 2020.

Block I formations :

• Nishan – Comprising of 4 Mi17-V5
• Dhruv – 4 aircrafts of the AA Corps
• Rudra – 1 Dakota flanked by 2 Mi 17-1Vs in Vic formation commemorative of the Swamim Vijay Jayanti of the 1971 war

Block II formations:

• Sudarshan – 1 Chinook and 2 Mi 17-1Vs
• Rakshak – 1 Mi 17-1V and 4 Apache helis
• Bhim – 3 C-130 transport aircraft
• Netra formations
• Garuda – Pair of MiG 29s along with 2 Su-30MKIs which will be formatting on a single C-17

• Eklavya – 1 Rafale, 2 Jaguars and 2 MiG 29s
• Trinetra – 3 Su-30s will be carrying out the Trishul manoeuvre.
• Vijay – 3 Sarang helis
• Brahmastra- The flypast would conclude with the show stopper a single Rafale that shall carry out a Vertical Charlie.
