India approved 100 crore emergency purchase powers to GOC in chief level officers

The Indian Cabinet has approved enhanced delegation of Financial Powers under Capital Procurement to levels below Vice-Chief of Armed Forces.

The Cabinet has approved Up to Rs.100 crore delegated to General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) level officers. The move comes at a time when tensions between India and it’s two nuclear-armed neighbours Pakistan and China.

Earlier the Indian government has approved special emergency purchasing power to the all the three armed forces commanders. To meet the immediate demands of all the forces to be ready for two-front wars. More details are awaited soon.
