India issues notification regarding “Launch of Experimental Flight Vehicle”

India has issued area warning on 12th to 14th October in the Bay of Bengal.

Sources said speculations are high that India could be flight testing indigenous Subsonic Nirbay cruise missile.

Launch Window is expected to be between 12-14 October 2020. Amid the heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours India and China new missiles are been tested.

India and China have locked their horns at their border areas. Escalation happened when the Chinese troops illegally intruded and occupied border regions in eastern Ladakh.

A befitting response was given to the intruders. Now both nations are locked in a standoff at the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

It seems the DRDO is preparing a slew of the missile test in the coming weeks and months. Nirbhay is a subsonic cruise missile, has a range over 1000km. It has the ability to avoid enemy radars and hitting well-defended targets deep inside the enemy territory.

Disclaimer: Till now there is no confirmation if this area warning is for Nirbhay Cruise Missile.

Our experts believe it so, one should wait till 14th of October 2020 for official confirmations. But the area covered under area warning looks very similar to the earlier Area Warnings for Nirbhay Missiles.
