Pakistan Cd’A summoned by the Ministry of External Affairs after a major terror attack was foiled by Indian Security Forces. Four suspected Pakistan sponsored Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed and two policemen injured in a gun battle on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway after a truck carrying freshly infiltrated militants was intercepted near Nagrota.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi his statement said “Neutralising of 4 terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed and the presence of large cache of weapons and explosives with them indicates that their efforts to wreak major havoc and destruction have once again been thwarted.

Our security forces have once again displayed utmost bravery and professionalism. Thanks to their alertness, they have defeated a nefarious plot to target grassroots level democratic exercises in Jammu and Kashmir.”

The terrorists had come to execute a “big plan”, which has been foiled, Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Mukesh Singh, said. The IGP, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, said the four terrorists were on their way to the Kashmir valley to disturb the District Development Council polls scheduled later this month, as Pakistan has been trying to derail the political process.
