India Will Not Accept Any Shifting of LAC : CDS Bipin Rawat

As the 8th round of Corps Commander level dialogue between Indian Army and China’s PLA is set to be held today. Chief of Defence Staff Bipin Rawat has said that India will not accept any unilaterally shifting of LAC by China.

The 8th round of Corps Commander level dialogue will take place in the Indian side of Chushul, Maldo border junction in Eastern Ladakh.

The situation along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh remains tense and the PLA is facing “unanticipated consequences of its misadventure” in Ladakh because of the Indian defence forces firm and strong response: CDS Gen Bipin Rawat in NDC, New Delhi.

CDS Bipin Rawat said “Our posturing is unambiguous. We will not accept any shifting of the LAC. In the overall security calculus border confrontations, transgressions, unprovoked tactical military actions spiralling into a larger conflict therefore cannot be discounted”

“Pakistan has continued to remain the epicentre of armed Islamic insurgency and terrorism. For three decades now Pakistan Army and its intelligence agency ISI have been waging a proxy war in Jammu & Kashmir”  CDS Gen Bipin Rawat said.
