Indian Army to switch to more secured indigenous messaging service called ‘SAI’

The Indian Army to switch to secure indigenous internet-based messaging system like WhatsApp and Telegram, developed by Col Sai Shanker it is named SAI ‘Secure Application for the Internet’

Secure Application for the Internet (SAI) supports the end to end secure voice, text, video calling for Android platform over the internet and utilises end to end encryption messaging protocol. It scores over WA etc on security features with local in-house servers and coding which can be tweaked as per requirements.

SAI has been vetted by Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT) empanelled auditor and Army Cyber Group.  The process for filing IPR, hosting the infrastructure on NIC and working on iOS platform is currently in progress, says Indian Army in a statement.
