India’s new AI to translate Chinese languages at lightning speed

Indian Army’s new Artificial Intelligence to translate Chinese regional languages at lightning speed. Indian Army is working on an Artificial Intelligence(AI) project to translate difficult Chinese mandarin and many other Chinese regional languages to English (& vice versa) flawlessly. The Indian Army Chief confirmed.

The Use of Artificial Intelligence to transcript the Chinese language Will be useful for Signals intelligence operational platforms (SIGINT) and stations along the China frontier. Which can instantly translate intercepted People’s Liberation Army’s communications without having to pass them through human translators which delays the process.

Indian Army is said to have turned its attention towards the practical use of Artificial Intelligence in military operations.

I came across a wonderful article work on the Indian Army’s Artificial Intelligence capabilities by Financial Express while doing some general research on AI military applications. The Indian Armed Forces are not the only one that has turned its attention towards AI technology advancements.

The recent use of a satellite controlled weapons platform used in the killing of Iranian nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh has invited international attention probably for the fact that a remotely controlled machine gun mounted on a pickup was used to pointedly kill him. It is for the first time that the machine gun was controlled remotely using advanced cameras and artificial intelligence and targeted only one individual without causing any collateral damage. The article on Financial Express said.

It future stated some very important point many might have missed. As has been reported earlier in Financial Express Online, to become a fully network-centric force, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the military is expected to begin shortly. It will take around 3-4 years before the AI tool is used in the Indian Military. The process of this has already started, and the plan is that every army personnel will be having the tools in which Artificial Intelligence will be integrated.

A Defence Artificial Intelligence Council is already set up in the Ministry of Defence and the defence minister is the chairman, and the three service chiefs, the defence secretary and the secretary of defence production are members.

Surely Indian Armed Forces are looking at modern technology advancement as a key to the victory. Time to adapt to these new modern technological advanced warfare will take some time. But India Army’s latest innovation for dedicated Chinese translating AI could be a major boost to achieve complete transformation and adaptation towards Artificial Intelligence centric strategy.
