Iran rejects any new nuclear deal negotiations or effort to add Saudi and UAE

“The nuclear accord is a multilateral international agreement ratified by U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231, which is non-negotiable and parties to it are clear and unchangeable,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh has said on the recent push for a new nuclear deal with the world powers.

In a serious escalation in the region, Iran’s rejected any new negotiations or effort to make any changes to the participants in the Iranian nuclear deal with world powers. Iran’s response came after French President Emmanuel Macron said that any new talks on Iran’s nuclear deal should include the Saudi Kingdom.

The US comes back into Iranian Nuclear Deal and New Headache

New US President Joe Biden showed a willingness to rejoin the Iran Nuclear Deal. Which was earlier withdrawn by the United States under Donald Trump’s administration. During President Trump’s time in office, the United States walked out of Obama’s signed Nuclear Deal with Iran. Citing Iran’s failure to honor the nuclear agreement with spirit. Trump administration stated that Iran and violated the agreement and so the United State walking out of the deal.

Saudi Arabia, UAE and Iran

The problem was raised when the gulf powerhouse and Iran’s enemies Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates wanted the deal should include the Iranian Ballistic Missile Program too. Which they said ‘An important agenda should be discussed briefly’.

France calls for stricter clauses in Iran Nuclear Deal

Meanwhile, French President Macron has called for more ‘stricter’ clauses in the Iran Nuclear Deal. France also accused that the older deal failed to prevent Iran from procuring nuclear weapons. France also supports the idea of including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates while discussing a new deal with Tehran.

This has not gone well with the Islamic Regime of Iran. Khatibzadeh said Macron should “show self-restraint”.

Iran warned France, “If French officials are worried about their huge arms sales to Persian Gulf Arab states, they better reconsider their policies,” Khatibzadeh said. “French arms, along with other Western weapons, not only cause the massacre of thousands of Yemenis but are also the main cause of regional instability.”

Iran Nuclear Deal

The Iran nuclear deal framework was a preliminary framework agreement reached in 2015 between the Islamic Republic of Iran and a group of world powers: the P5+1 and the European Union.

According to the joint statement in Switzerland, the P5+1 countries and Iran agreed on a framework for a deal. According to this framework, Iran would redesign, convert, and reduce its nuclear facilities and accept the Additional Protocol (with provisional application) in order to lift all nuclear-related economic sanctions, freeing up tens of billions of dollars in oil revenue and frozen assets. In addition to the joint statement, the United States and Iran issued fact sheets of their own.
