LOC: Cease Fire Violation by Pakistan in Gurez Sector

Pakistan Army troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the Line of Control. Pakistan Troops violated the ceasefire agreement today in the Gurez sector of Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir. The defense spokesperson informed media today.

In retaliation, Indian troops have given a befitting response. As per media sources about 4-6 Pakistan border posts and bunkers destroyed in retaliation. At least 3 Pakistani soldiers were killed in retaliation.

Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control and targeting Indian Army positions and border villagers.

In his statement, the defense spokesperson Col Rajesh Kalia said “Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC at Kanzalwan in Gurez sector today morning by firing mortars and other weapons”.

So far there are no causalities on the Indian Army side. But as far as we know, with good inputs from Open Source, Heavy causalities have been inflicted on Pakistan. Reports of air ambulance in the area also noted by locals.

We can expect some kind of blank statements from ISPR Pakistan shortly.
