Second Surgical Strikes by Iran inside Pakistan?
Multiple reports claiming of clashes between Pakistani troops and Iranian border guards along the Pak-Iran border in Balochistan. The recent clash comes at the backdrop of the Iranian Surgical Strike deep inside Pakistan in February. Iran became the third country to conduct surgical strike operations deep inside Pakistan targeting terror groups. The operation was conducted at midnight without the knowledge of Pakistan Military units in the region. Several Pakistani soldiers were killed during the operation who were giving cover to these terror groups sources claimed.
As per the sources, a brutal firefight took place between the Iranian Border Forces and Pakistan. Sources claim Pakistani soldiers were aiding terrorists in the border region. For which Iranian troops warned about severe consequences if they are not stopped. Reminding Pakistanis about February Surgical Strike conducted by Iran inside Pakistan territory.
Things got escalated quickly and resulted in casualties on both sides. Pakistan has lost 5 Pakistani soldiers, while reportedly two casualties on the Iranian side. Pakistani media sources claim it was Pakistani soldiers who initiated the attack on Iranian.
Later as per the local Balochistan Media, Pak troops abandoned the post after heavy retaliation from the Iranian Border Forces. Iranian troops were fully prepared for this kind of escalation with Pakistan as per the sources in Pakistan Media.
