Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the US Ambassador to a “WAR TIME” conversation

The US ambassador to Moscow has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.

“The US Ambassador has been summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry. We will share with you additional information on the results of this conversation, which will be difficult for the American side,” she said at a briefing.

Zakharova also announced Moscow’s “inevitable” response to new sanctions from Washington. “Such aggressive behavior will certainly receive a decisive rebuff, and the response to sanctions will be inevitable,” she said.

“Washington must realize that the degradation of bilateral relations will have to pay. The responsibility for what is happening lies entirely with the United States,” Zakharova stressed.

New US sanctions
Earlier on Thursday, it became known that the US authorities introduced new sanctions against 32 legal entities and individuals from the Russian Federation. According to Washington, these citizens and organizations tried to influence the US presidential elections in 2020, and also carried out “other acts of disinformation and interference.”

In addition, US banks from June 14 are prohibited from participating in the primary placements of the Russian government debt.

The United States also blacklisted six Russian technology companies for supporting cyber programs by Russia’s intelligence services, the White House said.
