Situation at the Russia-Ukraine borders are escalating fast. Both sides are massing a large contingent of military hardware. And ceasefire violations are taking place in regular frequency recently. Earlier the Russian side claimed one 5 years old was killed by the Ukrainian drive strike. Today the Ukrainian side claims their allied force soldier has been killed in the Russian firing.
In a statement the Ukranian side said:
“On April 5, near AVDIIVKA, a soldier from the Ukrainian Allied Forces received a bullet two large-calibre of enemy fire. The soldier was promptly given first aid and evacuated to a medical facility. Unfortunately, the life of the Ukrainian defender could not be saved.
The Russian Federation once again violated the ceasefire and fired small arms and large-caliber machine guns at the positions of Ukrainian defenders near AVDIYIVKA, which is in the area of responsibility of the East tactical group.
As a result of enemy fire, a serviceman from the Allied Forces received a bullet wound. The soldier was promptly given first aid and evacuated to a medical facility. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of doctors, the life of the Ukrainian defender could not be saved.
The command expresses its sincere and deep condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased defender.”(Note: these are the rough translation from the Ukranian language).

Both sides blame each other for ceasefire violation. Meanwhile, the Western countries have shown their support for Ukraine which they call Russian aggression. Meanwhile, Russia has denied the claims made by the US, Ukraine and their allies. Instead blames the west for the escalation. And validate its action to defend its territory with mass troops build up in the border regions.
