The reason being showing a distorted map violates “Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act 1971” in its devices.
Apple devices show parts of legal territories of Jammu and Kashmir as part of Pakistan and China. The matter issue is very sensitive often provoked war over territories. This is not the first time for tech giants like Apple, Google or Chinese smartphone makers to behave very carelessly towards India’s national integrity.
