China to supply J10C fighter jet to Pakistan Air Force

Panicked and distressed by the arrival of Rafale fighter jets in India, Pakistan has sent SOS to China. As per our sources, the Chinese authorities are seriously looking into supplying modernised J10 CE single-engine fighter jet fitted with advanced AESA Radars. The order size speculated to be 30-36 J10 CE.

The desperation in Pakistan is very clear as their Airforce faced with crashes and outdated fighter fleet. Pakistan’s latest acquisition of JF17 from China has not met it’s an operational requirement needed to face much superior Indian Airforce.

China and Pakistan are in discussion to fast track this new deal and modernise the J10CE. The package will involve Active Electronically Scanned radars, Advanced Electronic EW Suite and Modern Air to Air missiles as per the sources monitoring this development.

The Request for J10CE is not new as far as Pakistan is concerned. Even I late 2009 Pakistani government made an official request to the Chinese counterpart for the jets as new F16 procurements stalled by the United States.

Instead of the Chinese re-modified, the soviet Mig21 knock off J7 and sold it to PAF. The JF17 project was born.

Pakistan given the rights to assemble these jet within their country. But 10 years down the line Pakistanis has found JF17 is too old to withstand any modern air combat and sent a new request for J10CE jets.

India recently acquired the Rafale fighter jets which are worlds most powerful 4++ generation fighter jet. This has scared the but out off of Pakistan. High-level delegations we’re sent recently to ask J10CE fitted with Chinese beyond visual range air to air missiles like PL-15 and WVR PL10 for short-range.

Experts are questioning how Pakistan can pay for these jets as the Pakistani economy is shrinking fast. And it’s liabilities and outstanding debt stand at 107% higher than it’s GDP.

One can expect that the Chinese might be providing additional loans for this particular deal. And China has become Pakistan’s only defence supplier.

J10CE is Chinese export version of its J10C fighter Jets. Which are derived from the Israeli experimental jet program? Some say this could be the reason the Chinese are reluctant to sell these jets to Pakistan.

Both China and Pakistan are concerned about India’s latest arms buildup. The Indian military is undertaking efforts to modernise its armed forces.

Rafale and S400 air defence systems will give Indian Airforce a much-needed superiority in the region. Which will become a major threat for both China and Pakistan?

So far Pakistan has indicted 3rd generation 120 JF17, operates 70 F16s and vintage fighter jets like Mirage-3A and J7s.

The move keenly by India and others in the region. Pakistan is known for destabilising the region. Recently Russia as said that it will not supply any arms to the country.

Even the US has stopped supplying military equipment to Pakistan after they found about Osama bin Laden collusion with Pakistani Military establishment
