Indian Army Organised INTER DISTRICT CRICKET TOURNAMENT FOR WOMEN
With an aim to enhance sportsmanship and to promote sporting culture among ladies of the valley, Khanpeth Army Camp is conducting an Inter District Cricket Tournament for Women at Mirgund, Pattan from 21 Oct 2020.
Indian Army’s effort to rejuvenate the youth in the valley has been received with great interest.Young Indians joins the campaign for better future.
Today, Eight teams from the districts of Baramulla, Ganderbal, Budgam and Srinagar is participating in the tournament which was inaugurated today in presence of local Civil Administration officials.
Teams from Ganderbal and Srinagar played the opening match in which team from Srinagar won the match by just 2 runs. Srinagar had a score of 105 in 16 overs. Villagers also witnessed and enjoyed the match while supporting their teams with a cup of tea and snacks.
Kashmiri youths took part with more enthusiasm. Naya Kashmir is much brighter and stronger than ever before.
