Indian Army’s Power Play at LAC – A Simple Explanation

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army began its intrusion into India and began to threaten its neighbours in the South China Sea amid coronavirus pandemic. The motive of China is very clear, Using the stalled economic growth in its neighbours and inability to fight COVID 19, to further its expansionism.

Indian Army was taken by surprise by China at several locations of the Line of Actual Control. On June 14-15 things escalated into hand to hand brawl resulting in 42 PLA soldiers killed and 20 martyred on the Indian side.

The talks we’re called for to resolve the issue but the Chinese are adamant to pull back it’s troops to where they have been pre April or May. The frictional Point is the Pangong Tso.

Chinese don’t even want to acknowledge that they have intruded till Finger 4. Which was earlier used for patrolling by both armies. This was china’s aggressive stand to resolve the border situation unilaterally.

During the following months of discussion, the Chinese refused to even talk about the Pangong Tso region. But the Indian Army’s stand is very clear. There should be 100% troops pull back from all the locations along the Line of Actual Control.

Chinese once again denied obeying peaceful norms and starting to taunt India with more aggressive formations.

Well, India had enough for this joke. And prepared for a massive operation along the Line of Actual Control(LAC) against Chinese PLA. Just 10days ago the Indian Chief of defence staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat warned the Chinese that India will use the military options if talks fail.

On August 29/30 Night, the plan was initiated when Indian troops in the southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake noticed very peculiar Chinese PLA formations. PLA formation came in convoys, with fully prepared 500 soldiers and tents among other equipment for permanent intrusion and occupation.

After Indochina war of 1962, some strategic locations we’re left unnamed by either side in the southern bank of Pangong Tso.  Noticing the Chinese motive and their actions earlier in the northern bank of the lake India initiated a large scale operation to capture these key strategic hilltops raced into the ridgelines and captured several dominating positions.

The operation was not just on the southern bank of the lake Pangong Tso but also in the northern side of finger areas.

Indian Troops have deployed soldiers in the finger 3 ridgeline bringing the whole PLA positions under its effective firing range.

So the exclusive area of Pangong Tso about which the Chinese don’t want to talk about or discussing during the diplomatic or military level talks brought within the Indian Military’s firing range. Not just that but with dominating advantage staring down at the Chinese. Basically, India has flanked Chinese in these locals and all along the LAC.

As per our military source revealed! As the Chinese earlier intruded into the finger area and held the domination positions in the northern side, Indian troops did the same in the southern bank of the lake.

India has deployed heavy units from its armed forces with huge formations to thwart any Chinese intrusion and give a befitting response.

India also upgraded its surveillance and intel along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The situation is very tense in the region. A minor military skirmish is also very much possible. But Indian Army and all other armed forces of India put on the highest state of alert.
