Iran and Azerbaijan heading towards war, Forces rushed to the borders

In a sudden escalation and turn of events, Iran and Azerbaijan forces massing in strength at each other’s borders. The situation is very tense in the area as per the sources. How did it all come to this situation? Well A few days ago, Azerbaijan Republic blocked the road on which Iranian trucks were carrying commercials, foods and petrochemical products to Armenia. We have learnt that this action by Azerbaijan was done to starve the people of Armenia to death.

In response to Azerbaijan’s action, the Iranian IRGC has sent a large number of forces with heavy artillery among other weapons. Iran said that its armed forces are going to hold its largest-ever military exercise adjacent to the Aras river and border with Azerbaijan. Matter of fact that this Small Azerbaijan Republic once was a part of Iran but was separated from the country by Russia 200 years ago. So we know the enmity among these two neighbours. And a clear reason why Saudis or Israelis helped the Azeri forces in a brief war with Armenia recently.

This exercise by the Iranians is also in response to the arrest of several Iranian truck drivers by the Azerbaijan Army over carrying commercial goods such as Milk to Armenia. Iran has given an ultimatum to Azerbaijan Army to quickly release the drivers and their vehicles. Or else will have to taste the might of IRGC in a brief meeting held between both the countries.

In response to a question on two drivers detained in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said: “The embassy is following up on this issue and expects the Republic of Azerbaijan to immediately release the two men and allow them to continue on their way.” The territory of neighbouring countries is important to us

As per the local sources IRGC Army Aviation helicopters can be seen patrolling over the Iran-Azerbaijan Republic border area since this morning. Which included the Russian made Mi-171 transport helicopters and AH-1J Toufan II attack helicopters. The helicopters were fully loaded claims the sources.

Situations are said to be even tenser on the ground than in the air. Since this morning, IRGC Ground Force has deployed tens of D-30 and HM-40 Howitzers to use during the military exercise. Given the situation, there could be a possible military operation in the areas adjacent to the border with the Azerbaijan Republic.
