Islamic Scholars Issues Fatwa Against Funerals For Dead Pakistan Army Soldiers

Pakistani Religious Scholars says reciting Prayers of Funeral for Pakistani Soldiers is Not Legal in Islam. The report claims that a cleric supportive of the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) has issued Fatwa against attending funerals for Pakistani army personnel, calling it “haraam”. Haram is an Arabic term meaning “forbidden”. Acts that are haram are prohibited in the religious texts of the Quran and the Sunnah. If something is considered haram, it remains prohibited no matter how good the intention is, or how honourable the purpose is.

More than five hundred Pakistani religious scholars, lead by senior Islamic Preacher Maulana Abdul Aziz, issued a fatwa on reciting the funeral prayers for Pakistani soldiers are illegal according to Islam.

According to the reports of Pakistani media, the Pakistan police force has registered a case against Maulana Abdul Aziz. Meanwhile, the Pakistani Taliban the aid they are continuing their Jihad (Holy War for Freedom) in Pakistan. The states that there will be no peace until an Islamic Government is established like in Afghanistan under the Taliban. Just a few days ago millions of heartless Pakistanis celebrated the invasion of Afghanistan by Taliban terrorists. Who are now damaging the Afghan roots and heritage? Talibans has even banned the girl child’s secondary education and banned them from working. While all along Pakistanis were showing their full support for radical elements. But now this could be their faith as well.

Pakistani army bombarded Lal Masjid and Hafsa religious school in 2007 and killed dozens of the Taliban there. TTP has recently been emboldened after seeing Afghan Taliban’s military gains. Tough times are ahead for Pakistan as in the past 10 days the Pakistani version of Taliban has killed more than 84 Pakistan Army troops near the Afghanistan border region.
