Islamic State Khorasan strikes Taliban convoy killing 4 on 3rd consecutive day

ISIS-K, The Afghan offshoot of the terror organization “Islamic State,” known as ISIS-Khorasan, IS-K or ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the attacks on the Taliban. This is 3 strikes for the past 3 days. The group takes its name from the Khorasan Province, an area that once included wide swaths of Afghanistan, Iran, and central Asia in the Middle Ages.

In a recent statement in their telegram group, they claimed to have at least 4 Pakistan sponsored Taliban fighters.

The statement said “With the success of God Almighty, the soldiers of the Caliphate detonated an explosive device on a vehicle of the apostate Taliban militia in (District 9) in the (Nanjarhar) region, which led to the killing of 4 members, wounding 3 others and damaging the vehicle. Two other elements, thankfully.”

Yesterday group also claimed to have killed as many as 38 Taliban terrorists in the last 48 hours(till yesterday). And today on the 3rd consecutive day another strike has happened. The group also warned Pakistan of invading Afghanistan with the help of proxies.

The civil war in Afghanistan is set to break out. Many factions of the Taliban are said to be fighting among themselves to grab their share. ISIS-k is just one threat faced by the Taliban, in the north Panjshir resistance force under the leadership of Asaad Massoud has declared war on the Taliban.

Pakistan Army is also facing severe attacks from the Pakistani version of the Taliban. Made up of school teachers sons and citizens of Pakistan who are demanding the establishment of Taliban tule in Islamabad. The civil war in both Pakistan and Afghanistan is imminent.
