Pakistan President Arif Alvi said that Pakistan stands by the people of Kashmir and will not abandon them. In an indirect reference to India, Alvi said: Unfortunately, the situation in South Asia & the whole region is bad due to conspiracies, hate, terrorism, bilateral disputes.
President Arif Alvi said there would be no peace in South Asia until the Kashmir issue was resolved. “Whatever is happening in Kashmir, it has become a human tragedy.” He reminded the world that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute is under the resolutions of UNSC. Whatever the president of Pakistan has said has no truth to it. For instance of UNSC resolution for plebiscite in Kashmir has no validity for various reasons based on illegality.
Pakistan avoids a few basic questions which it won’t answer:
(i) How is it that Pakistan occupies two- fifths of Kashmir and by what right?
(2) Has it any legal right to be in the possession and control of any part of Kashmir territories?
(3) Has it any right to negotiate and give away any part of Kashmir to China, which it has admittedly done…?
(4) What steps should the Council take to make Pakistan vacate its aggression?
A few days ago Pakistan orchestrated peace initiative theatrics. Ink has not even dried, an terror attack has taken place in Srinagar today. 2 CRPF personnel has been martyred. And 1 of them is critically injured. Pakistan is a nation run and feeds on terrorism. These are the lifelong achievements of the Pakistan Army as a nation.
