The fire broke out after an experimental rocket motor exploded in Tehran, Iran

Today, a rocket-motor test went wrong in a Self-Sufficiency and Industrial Research Center of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the west of capital Tehran. The IRGC’s public relations department announced in a statement that a fire had broken out in one of the IRGC’s self-sufficiency research centres in western Tehran, injuring three people.

Fire has been put out by the firefighters. But there were no further details on the cause of the fire incident.

It seems that Iran was experimenting with a new solid-propellant rocket motor. The rocket motor malfunctioned and led to the explosion during the test. As per our sources, almost 8 people got injured. Many of them were critically injured.

Hope the IRGC will not blame Israel’s Mossad over this incident.

Iran announced that it had tested a new satellite launch vehicle (SLV) called the Zoljanah for the first time on 1 February, saying it uses a new, more powerful solid-propellant motor.

The US Department of State expressed concern about the test. SLVs pose a significant proliferation concern because SLVs incorporate technologies identical to, and interchangeable with, those used in ballistic missiles, including longer-range systems. Reported the Janes regarding solid-state rocket motor developed by Iran.
