Turkey and Azerbaijan announces military exercise called “Muslim Brotherhood” near Iran border

“Fatehan-e-Kheibar” exercise of Iran Army Ground Force has well scared the Turkish Dictator, Erdogan and Azeri Aliyev. In response to this exercise, the Armed Forces of Turkey and the Baku (Azerbaijan) Republic are going to hold a joint exercise in Nakhchivan called the “Muslim Brotherhood”.

The officer of the Communications Department of the Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the holding of a joint exercise of the Turkish Army and the Republic of Azerbaijan from October 4 to 7 in Nakhchivan.

The Turkish defence official said that the purpose of the “Immaculate Brotherhood 2021” exercise is to increase the level of coordination between the ground forces of the two countries’ armies.

Tensions between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Iran have risen in recent weeks. The story began with a dispute between the two countries over a major transit route between Iran and neighbouring Armenia and the suspension of passing through Iranian trucks via Azerbaijan.

Reports of the transfer of Iranian troops and equipment to the border region with the Republic of Azerbaijan and the holding of IRGC ground exercises were later published, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev strongly criticized Iran’s decision to hold the exercise.

There are rumours that Iran is preparing for a war with Azerbaijan. According to local media reports, the Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan met with the Armenian Defense and Foreign Ministers, stating the need for the presence of the Armenian Armed Forces in the Syunik region.
