The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is serving as the 14th and current prime minister of India since 2014. Mr Modi was the chief minister of Gujarat from 2001 to 2014 and is the Member of Parliament from Varanasi. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist volunteer organisation. He is the first prime minister to have been born after India’s independence in 1947 and the longest serving prime minister from outside the Indian National Congress.

The Right to Information Act states that the Indian Prime Minister Modi has not used even a single rupee of government money for his food expenses till now.
Prime Minister Modi has been questioned through the Right to Information Act about the government’s spending of information. In the reply given the Prime Minister’s Office, it has been said that PM Modi, who has been the Prime Minister since 2014, has not used government money for his food expenses and is meeting his food needs with his own money.
